Ways to Support Disabled
American Veterans
The Disabled
American Veterans is an organization composed of many parts. Each of
these parts works as part of a greater whole whose goal is to
provide support and services to veterans and their families. Below
are links to the different areas either run by, or affiliated with
the DAV to which you may provide
support.

Donating to
Disabled American Veterans
The DAV relies upon your support in order to
provide assistance to America's disabled veterans and their
families. This link shows the donating options available ranging
from monthly giving to how you can obtain name and address labels.
U.S Military Retiree Allotment Program
If you are a retiree of the United States
military, it is easy to designate a tax-deductible gift to Disabled
American Veterans (DAV) via direct payroll deduction by establishing
an allotment through the U.S. Defense Finance and Accounting Service
(DFAS).
Planned Giving, Gift Annuities and More
This link concerns ways to plan long-term gifts
to DAV. Included here are matters pertaining to wills and other
estate planning tools, as well as information about Charitable Gift
Annuities, a unique way for you to assist disabled veterans, while
you enjoy a lifetime high-interest income and significant tax
benefits.
Memorial and Honorary Gifts
Memorial gifts to the DAV are a wonderful way to
remember loved ones and to carry on a cause they cared about deeply.
Honorary gifts - to mark a birthday, anniversary or other occasion -
are also a popular means of helping DAV's work.
Charitable Service Trust
The DAV Charitable Service Trust is dedicated to
one, single purpose: building better lives for our nation’s disabled
veterans and their families. In addition to direct contributions,
the Trust accepts gifts through workplace giving campaigns such as
the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), United Way, matching gift
programs and other special giving arrangements. The Trust brings
life-changing rehabilitation opportunities to veterans who have
suffered profound disabilities, such as multiple amputations, mental
illness, paralysis and more.
National Service Foundation
The DAV National Service Foundation was
established under the auspices of the DAV national organization and
exists to develop financial resources in support of the goals and
purpose of the DAV, including providing support to DAV’s National
Service Program and other services initiatives for America’s
disabled veterans and their families. Gifts to the Foundation ensure
that DAV services will always be available for years to come. |
